Cannelle village is entirely car-free, its small paved lane, its walls and arches made out of stones and its roofs built in lauzes will make you travel backwards in time. To access the house, you have to take a little alley through the village ( around 100 meters), or some stairs, because you won't be able to park right in front of it.

The old medieval village of Cannelle and its ancient houses
3 km down the road and a little over 10 minutes walking through the maquis you will find the charming little fishing harbour of Centuri with its numerous restaurants famous for their spiny lobsters. You will also find the departure of the "sentier douanier", a nice walk that goes around the Cap Corse, which you can do either by boat or walking.
For swimming, you can chose between pebbles beaches, numerous coves and creeks or a very nice sand beach a few kilometers away.
